Tri Fold

It was requested at the Nov stated meeting if I could post the Tri-Fold previously approved by the chapter for publication. It is attached as two slides has to be printed on one page but both sides. I hope both slides appear I cannot really tell from this forum. I will separately to make sure! Please see attachment!

BULRDR, I only see one side of the flyer.

Wearing of colors when ask not too

Some of us may or may not have experienced this but I would like to mention it on the forum. Walking into a place of business while wearing hard or soft colors, when no sign is posted, then management ask you to remove the colors. What should we do? Of course we have choices of removing the colors or not spending our money in the establishment. The Bottom line is the owner of the establish or their designated employee has the right, in the state of Texas, to refuse business to anyone they wish to do so without a reason. It is much like open carry laws. Even if there is NO sign that prohibits the open carrying of a fire arm the establish can ask you to not to open carry or leave their business. This RARELY happens, nevertheless, it does happen. We as CVMA members should always…

Hard color is the patch even when sewed on a shirt. Soft colors is an iron on or screen print reproduction. Some dont consider the patch seen on a shirt hard colors but I am giving you exact definition. Most will let you get away with it as long as it is not on a vest.

BBQ and Fund Raiser

We had a wonderful turnout for the first BBQ of the Chapter and by all accounts it was a success. I want to thank everyone that worked so hard on this event. Your dedication and commitment to the chapter is overwhelming. We all had a good time, some well deserved fellowship and we enhanced our ability to help Vets in the future. Special thanks to "Tex" for spending the night at GHD preparing the Brisket's and they were delicious Tex! A special thanks to all of the volunteers that made the event a success without your hard work we could not have been successful. A big shout out goes to the South Bound 35 Band the music was fantastic and an all around hit. GHD was very pleased with the event and the marketing coordinator told me we were welcome ANYTIME in the future. Job well done to th…

We could not have been the success we were without BullRider and Raven being the motivation and the reminder of what our true accomplishments are! Fellowship of one another, getting to meet other vets outside of our group and a huge point to our public perception in our Community.

Thank you all for stepping up. I thoroughly enjoyed myself today.

Love to all my BlackJack family.

We can agree to disagree and still be Brothers!

I read the following post on the CVMA website. I sent a request to the author asking if I could re-post it within our chapter and he agreed. You might ask yourself "Why is this a PRO issue"? My answer is simple, if we see ourselves acting out when we meet, although it may be innocently, it is safe to say that someone else may see that in a different perspective. The Brother that wrote this obviously experienced disagreements during Nationals, no surprise there, right? Most families disagree on certain issues all of the time. However, I concur with his thesis that at the end of the day we are still a family and we do care, protect and love each other and the Vets we vowed to support. We should never forget that! You may have already seen this but let's read again and apply it from our indi…

Brother you are correct, at the beginning, middle and the end of the day all I really care about is my brothers and sisters in this family be safe and happy and most of all know they are LOVED!!

Public Perception is "Real"

We ride as a chapter with a goal in mind and that goal is to experience our unity as a chapter but to some degree display to the public that we Support our Vets. After all that is the logo on our vest, hats, shirts etc. However, the public does not see what we feel, as a group, what they see is a group of people on motorcycles and their immediate perception is "Gang". Why is that? Watch the media, read the papers and so forth they have indoctrinated to see a gang or at very least a group of people very different from the themselves. Don't forget we are, after all, just citizens, as they are, and live the same life they do. However, we speak Veteran and they don't, LOL. I speak of the public in second person because they are different from us when we are togeth…
